Untitled. By Arturo Ramirez. Paint on masonite. 6' x 6". I met Arturo in the antique central plaza of Puebla, Mexico circa 1992. He was approximately fourteen years old and his proud mother stood by him praising his obvious talent. At the time I also bought two other similar works by him twice the size of the one pictured here.
I love the positive energy and exuberant joyousness of his purposeful people and animals. Even the plants seem to burst with life from the earth as if ready to explode with the joy of living.
